Artist Marcos Lutyens talks about his interest in the potential blurring of boundaries between disciplines, crafts and areas of research. Lutyens attempts to integrate different worlds or fields of knowledge in a continuum that he makes use of in his artistic practice. Lutyens took part in the 13th Documenta in Kassel presenting his work “Hypnotic Show”, a temporary social structure that mixes various disciplines and discourses. Lutyens argues for taking advantage of the freedom to move between artistic and non-artistic disciplines. Art should be something that can be integrated into our daily lives, contributing to an eclectic, emotional and open-minded vision of the future.
